During Dr. Kalembo’s over 17 years as the Bishop and National Superintendent of the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church he worked passionately to advance the dream of a Pilgrim Wesleyan university in Zambia.  He is a longtime pastor and developer of leaders in the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church and throughout the continent of Africa.  His contacts as the former President of the Council of Churches in Zambia and his many relationships internationally have prepared him for this essential leadership role for AWUC.  His primary responsibilities include the following:

• Responsible to work closely with the Principal to raise money for the University, both nationally and internationally
• Works to create and facilitate the Web presence and all publications emanating from the University
• Represents the University at various venues to tell the story and encourage support
• Gives oversight and leadership to the University at the direction and in the absence of the Principal
• Maintains connections and involvement between the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church and the University
