Dr. Patrick Matibini, Vice Principal for Administration

Ph.D. in Law, University of Zambia

For more than 20 years Dr. Matibini served as a national leader in the Zambia including 10 years as Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, a high court judge, and leader in local government.  Additionally, he was a faculty member for over 16 years at the University of Zambia and has earned several academic degrees.   He is an active member of the Munali Pilgrim Wesleyan Church and serves on the PWC National Board of Administration.  His many professional accomplishments have uniquely positioned him to provide critical leadership for AWUC.  His primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Gives oversight and guidance for all accreditation and legal and governmental affairs issues
  • Responsible for assuring the application to the HEA and any subsequent materials needed are complete and in good form and order
  • Assists and informs the Principal of any new or pending legislation that impacts the University
  • Gives oversight to the physical needs of the campuses with particular attention to upkeep and maintenance
  • Provides guidance for decisions on hiring an appointments
  • Serves as the close advisor to the Principal on all related issues of administration such as the campus master plan and strategic planning
